About The Lodge

The Lodge is nestled centrally in the Cotswolds being an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of beautiful countryside walks from the door. The charming barn conversion is perfect for couples or solo adventurers who want to explore one of Britain's best-loved rural settings.

Gretton is a pretty village close to the medieval town of Winchcombe with its historic roots as far back as the Neolithic period. Also within easy reach is the historic market town of Tewkesbury, which also offers a good selection of amenities including independent speciality shops and places for a meal. If shopping is on your agenda, then you'll be happy to know that Cheltenham is also only 10 miles from the cottage with a mix of High Street names and upmarket boutiques in Montpellier, or head to Swindon or Bicester for those well known designer names.

The Cotswolds is full of charming towns and villages where the views and architecture take centre stage. Spend a lazy few hours mooching around Broadway, Upper and Lower Slaughter, Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden or Evesham. Sudeley Castle is close by, as are favourite Cotswold attractions such as Cheltenham Racecourse, the Cotswold Lavender Farm, stately homes and National Trust properties.

With useful road links and an excellent variety of things to see and do, The Lodge is perfect for a relaxing, romantic escape at any time of the year.

Location (The Cotswolds)

Accommodation Comprises:

The Lodge is a barn conversion, attached to the owner's own house but entirely self-contained. Accommodation is over two levels with underfloor heating downstairs and WiFi throughout.

Downstairs:

  • Spacious and welcoming, the living room has a traditional feel with modern comforts that include a TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player. There is a good size dining table that will seat four people.
  • Fitted kitchen with plenty of cupboards and room to prepare and cook meals. The owners have ensured the kitchen is well-stocked with equipment and utensils necessary to self-cater, including a dishwasher.
  • Utility room and cloak room with WC and wash basin.

Upstairs:

  • Bedroom with a king-sized bed, Velux windows overlooking the garden and a feature brick wall. The ensuite has a shower, WC and a handbasin.

Outside: The cottage has an enclosed garden with lawn and a paved courtyard. There is a patio with outside furniture and a BBQ within the private garden.

Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and towels are provided, along with a welcome pack. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome - please let the owner know when booking. Short breaks and stays of up to three weeks are possible with a Friday changeover offered for weekly and weekend bookings and Monday for mid-week breaks. Smoking is not permitted. Friday is the changeover for week long bookings with Monday and Friday offered for short breaks.
