Pathways is an elegantly furnished Cotswold holiday cottage in a village location. The owner's careful attention to detail and sophisticated sense of style blends beautifully with period features and country charm, creating a welcoming atmosphere where couples and small families can relax and make the most of the many fantastic features of Painswick and the surrounding area. It's an excellent choice for a self-catering break, boasting a gourmet-standard kitchen with an AGA and a standard convection oven. Yet you're only a few minutes walk from The Royal Oak pub for Gloucestershire ale, cider, and a menu of tasty meals using local seasonal produce.
Painswick is well known for the beauty of its walks. Footpaths lead from the village into the breathtaking Five Valleys and villages like Pitchcombe, Slad, Holcombe, Cranham, and Sheepscombe. Follow the Cotswold Way, or walk the 90 minutes to Stroud (ten minutes by car), where the Saturday farmers' market runs all year round, and there's a wide variety of places to eat, drink and shop. A favourite walk is to Painswick Beacon for panoramic views of the Malverns, Severn River, and the spire of Gloucester Cathedral. You only have to walk 300 metres to the village shop, which is handy when you want a pint of milk.
In the summer months start your day with breakfast in the walled garden before strolling to the famous Rococo Gardens. Maybe you'd prefer to try your luck at Cheltenham Races, splurging on a new hat from Montpellier's boutiques for the occasion. You can see centuries-old treasures at Blenheim Palace and in the museums and churches of Oxford. Bath is around an hour's drive away, and you can get to London in about 90 minutes on the train from Stroud. One of the many benefits of staying at Pathways is that you can enjoy some of the best attractions in the Cotswolds without needing a car.

Outside: The lovingly tended gardens are the owner's pride and joy and are easily appreciated from either the conservatory or the outdoor seating. There is parking on the street.
Additional Information: WiFi, utilities, bed linen and bath towels are included when you book Pathways cottage. There is a £100 refundable security deposit due which is refunded upon return of key and acceptable check out. Smoking and pets are not permitted.
Check in is after 3 pm and check out is before 11 am.
