About Honeysuckle Cottage

Honeysuckle Cottage is a quintessential Cotswold cottage located on the edge of the lovely village of Broadwell close to Stow on the Wold. Sleeping up to four guests in two charming bedrooms the beautifully presented interior combines traditional character with modern day comforts whilst giving a warm and homely feel the moment you enter the magical beamed dining area. A modern well appointed kitchen leads off for a welcoming coffee or pot of tea before making your way through to a cosy sitting room with exposed timber and stone inglenook and floor where comfy seating awaits. For when the nights draw in a large log burner, set ready to light, provides the perfect setting for romantic evenings in front of a roaring fire making this cottage an ideal place to escape all year round. For the summer months a lovely secluded shady garden adjoins, perfect for reading or just relaxing with a glass.

Situated in the 'golden triangle' of the Cotswolds there are many places to stroll and explore or drive including Stow on the Wold with its central market square surrounded by honey coloured stone architecture with many small shops, art galleries, tea rooms, cosy pubs and eateries selling artisan food and grocery stores including a Tesco. Once famous for its annual sheep fairs it is steeped in history and an ideal place to visit or return after exploring the surrounding stunning countryside and beautiful neighbouring villages which look as if they grew out of the hillsides. Also, close by can be found other small towns and villages including Moreton in Marsh, (which has a Tuesday market), Bourton on the Water and The Slaughters to name a few. About a 20 min drive away can be found Chipping Campden and Broadway with its Tower set on top of the beautiful Cotswold escarpment and where, on a clear day, you can look out over 16 counties. Other local attractions such as Daylesford Organic Farm Shop, Jeremy Clarkson's Didley Squat Farm Shop, and his pub The Farmers Dog near Burford selling craft beers and sourdough pizzas as well as numerous fabulous restaurants and watering holes including The Fox Inn just a 5 min walk away from Honeysuckle in Broadwell serving delicious food perfect if you just want to chill on arrival although it is sometimes best to book in advance. There is also an option to take in the spectacular rolling countryside by taking a steam train (as per timetables) between Broadway or Toddington to Cheltenham. Also, to be found just outside Burford is the Burford Garden Centre (with a difference) and for garden lovers Hidcote, Kiftsgate Court and Sudley Castle approx 20 min drive away. Other places are Blenheim Palace (15 mins) Cheltenham and its racecourse (30 min) Cirencester (40 min). Cotswold Farm Park (15 mins) amongst many others with Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and Bath also within driving distance for days out. So you will never be short of things to do and visit or, perhaps re-visit as the Cotswolds has a timeless allure and irresistible charm with guests returning time and time again.
