Climbing Rose Cottage more than lives up to its lovely name. The charming stone Cotswold holiday cottage is a country idyll, boasting golden stone walls, a log burner, a proper AGA for self-catering, and a village location a short walk from the Horse & Groom Inn and The Fox at Oddington. Imagine walking along lanes lined with verdant hedgerows bursting with wildflowers in spring or admiring fields dotted with rolled hay bales gilded by the summer sunshine before returning to your cottage to enjoy a lazy dinner in the long warm evenings. Or maybe you prefer autumn's earthy scents and colours or the crack of a frozen puddle as you stride along a footpath, spending the evening soaking in the deep rolltop bath and toasting toes by the fire. The one-bedroom cottage is a favourite of couples, including those with dogs.
Oddington is the Cotswolds at its best. Delightfully picturesque, with two pubs and a late-medieval church, it's close to Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water, and Moreton-in-Marsh. You can do your grocery shopping at the award-winning Daylesford Organic Farm Shop, learn new skills at their cookery school or indulge in a treatment at the Bamford Hay Barn Spa. Bring or hire a bike to cycle miles of country lanes and bridleways, or make the most of fantastic footpaths leading to beautiful views you'll be happy to stop and catch your breath.
Days out can include sightseeing in Stratford-Upon-Avon, just over half an hour's drive from the cottage. You're also within easy reach of Cheltenham's racecourse and upmarket boutiques, the cathedral city of Gloucester, Blenheim Palace, and Oxford's world-famous museums, college buildings, and churches.

Outside: Wicker chairs offer a welcome place to drink your morning cup of tea to the backdrop of birdsong in the garden. There is allocated off-street parking for one car.
Additional Information: WiFi, bed linen, bath towels and utilities are included with your booking. Two small, well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Climbing Rose Cottage is a non-smoking cottage.
