Church Farm Barn is a fantastic barn conversion offering 5-Star standard accommodation in a beautiful countryside setting only five minutes from historic Stratford-Upon-Avon. There is space for up to 12 people to sleep in five bedrooms, including a downstairs bedroom with an ensuite that is suitable for wheelchair users and others with limited mobility. There are two pubs, The Bell and the Squirrel, as well as cafes and shops within walking distance, and the cottage is ideal for families and friends who want to stay somewhere peaceful without feeling isolated.
The house is in Shottery, a quiet village best known as being where Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway, lived. Her cottage, together with the friendly pubs, is within walking distance of Church Farm Barn, and there is easy access to beautiful countryside footpaths and cycling routes. Staying in Shottery gives visitors the benefit of easy access to favourite attractions without having to suffer the traffic and crowds of a busy town.
Stratford-Upon-Avon is a mile from Church Farm, taking around 15 minutes to walk or five minutes by car or taxi. It attracts visitors from around the world who come to learn about its most famous son, William Shakespeare, and fall in love with the gorgeous Tudor buildings and the beautiful Avon River that flows through the town. A boat trip is a must-do for a sunny day, or climb aboard an open-topped tour bus for a high-rise view of the town.
Stratford-upon-Avon is surprisingly small given its worldwide fame, but there is more than enough to keep visitors happily occupied. Understandably, many attractions focus around the Bard, including Shakespeare's Birthplace, the Royal Shakespeare Company and Shakespeare's Schoolroom and Guildhall. Other attractions include the Stratford-Upon-Avon Butterfly Farm, MAD Museum and lots of places to shop, eat and drink.
Outside of Shottery and Stratford-Upon-Avon, visitors can enjoy countryside walks, bike rides, golf and horse riding, as well as exploring the nearby Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Warwick Castle is less than 10 miles from Church Farm Barn, while Oxford is about an hour's drive and the Bicester Designer Outlet even closer. Having such a vast choice of things to see and do makes Church Barn Farm the ideal holiday destination at any time of the year.
