Yew Tree Farm Cottage is located in Cheshire and ideally located just a short drive (five minutes) from the Peak District National Park - a vast outdoor playground with stunning scenery and an abundance of outdoor activities on offer. Beautifully presented throughout, the cottage is perfect for families and friends sleeping up to four, and enjoys a rural location with lovely views in the village of North Rode.
Ideal for walkers, Yew Tree Farm Cottage has direct access out onto a host of footpaths and country lanes allowing you to explore the area by foot and enjoy great days out walking without having to use the car. With a good range of amenities and within easy driving distance are the market towns of Congleton (affording a pretty riverside position) and Macclesfield. Also within easy reach by car are Chester, Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent with a much wider choice of shops, attractions and the hustle and bustle of city life (just an hour by car).
This beautiful part of the country has an abundance of attractions for great days out including magnificent Chatsworth House and Alton Towers, one of the country's top theme parks and only a short car ride away. The Peak District National Park is the most visited National Park in the UK which attracts people from far and wide with its incredible scenery, outdoor adventures and quaint market towns such as Bakewell and Buxton. There are also a number of National Trust properties to visit including the magnificent tudor mansion of Little Moreton Hall and the stunning Victorian gardens of Biddulph Grange; as well as plenty of places for a meal out or some pampering locally, including both The Retreat and Mill Wheel Luxury Spa at Leek and The Therapy Centre in Marton
For some heritage and culture, visit World of Wedgewood for a factory tour, outlet shopping or try your hand in one of the craft studios on a potters wheel or design a decorative pattern. Quarry Bank Mill (National Trust) in Styal is also a must, as is the impressive black and white manor house of Gawsworth Hall (with an outdoor theatre), Clonter Opera in Congleton, and the stately home of Capesthorne Hall.
Whether you want to enjoy local walks, explore city centres, spend your days wandering around country houses or simply relax, Yew Tree Farm Cottage offers a warm welcome all year round.
