The Coach House Loft is a luxurious holiday apartment in a spectacular countryside location on the owner's 35-acre smallholding near Blaencelyn. Perfect for couples, the self-catering property has a private garden with a hot tub and a cosy log burner whose warmth you can enjoy from the living room or your bed. This region is a fantastic area for a walking holiday as you are only two miles from the Cardigan Coast. There are four self-contained holiday cottages on site, and you can book these together if you are on holiday with friends.
Staying at The Coach House Loft puts you within walking distance of Llangrannog - just one of many beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay. The beach and village are two miles if you cycle or drive to give you access to two pubs, two cafes, and an award-winning pizza place. Llangrannong is a wonderful spot for a day out. Set yourself up on the dog-friendly sandy beach or walk along the coastal footpath to National Trust Penbryn or Cwmtydu, where you may be lucky enough to spot grey seals and bottlenose dolphins. Mwnt is another beach in the care of the National Trust and is also good for spotting dolphins.
New Quay and Aberystwyth are north of The Coach House Loft, with lots to offer day trippers. Don't miss the starlings over Aberystwyth pier at sunset or a journey on The Vale of Rheidol railway to Devil's Bridge. Bwlch Nant Yr Arian has superb walking and mountain bike trails. Time your visit to the cafe for the afternoon feeding of the red kites for a truly memorable experience. If you go south from The Coach House Loft you will come to St David's. Although it feels like a large village, it has the status of a city due to its magnificent cathedral. The coast around St Davids is also beautiful. It's worth driving 40 miles for the opportunity to walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath from Abereidy to Porthgain, passing Treath Llyfn and the famous Blue Lagoon diving spot along the way.
Explore further at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales in Carmarthen and National Trust Dinefwr Park. Cenarth, Narberth, Saundersfoot and Tenby are about 90 minutes from the cottage and close enough for a fun day out.
There is simply no bad time to holiday in West Wales. Its beaches are utterly breathtaking, the countryside is gorgeous, and the towns and villages full of Welsh character and welcome.
