About The Coach House Loft

The Coach House Loft is a luxurious holiday apartment in a spectacular countryside location on the owner's 35-acre smallholding near Blaencelyn. Perfect for couples, the self-catering property has a private garden with a hot tub and a cosy log burner whose warmth you can enjoy from the living room or your bed. This region is a fantastic area for a walking holiday as you are only two miles from the Cardigan Coast. There are four self-contained holiday cottages on site, and you can book these together if you are on holiday with friends.

Staying at The Coach House Loft puts you within walking distance of Llangrannog - just one of many beautiful beaches of Cardigan Bay. The beach and village are two miles if you cycle or drive to give you access to two pubs, two cafes, and an award-winning pizza place. Llangrannong is a wonderful spot for a day out. Set yourself up on the dog-friendly sandy beach or walk along the coastal footpath to National Trust Penbryn or Cwmtydu, where you may be lucky enough to spot grey seals and bottlenose dolphins. Mwnt is another beach in the care of the National Trust and is also good for spotting dolphins.

New Quay and Aberystwyth are north of The Coach House Loft, with lots to offer day trippers. Don't miss the starlings over Aberystwyth pier at sunset or a journey on The Vale of Rheidol railway to Devil's Bridge. Bwlch Nant Yr Arian has superb walking and mountain bike trails. Time your visit to the cafe for the afternoon feeding of the red kites for a truly memorable experience. If you go south from The Coach House Loft you will come to St David's. Although it feels like a large village, it has the status of a city due to its magnificent cathedral. The coast around St Davids is also beautiful. It's worth driving 40 miles for the opportunity to walk along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath from Abereidy to Porthgain, passing Treath Llyfn and the famous Blue Lagoon diving spot along the way.

Explore further at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales in Carmarthen and National Trust Dinefwr Park. Cenarth, Narberth, Saundersfoot and Tenby are about 90 minutes from the cottage and close enough for a fun day out.

There is simply no bad time to holiday in West Wales. Its beaches are utterly breathtaking, the countryside is gorgeous, and the towns and villages full of Welsh character and welcome.

Accommodation Comprises:

The Coach House Loft is a superb first-floor holiday apartment in a converted barn with a private garden. There is no accommodation downstairs so the guests do not share the building with anyone else.

  • Beautiful oak beams and floor are a lovely feature of the apartment, warming every room with its honey hues from top to bottom. The living room has a vaulted ceiling and a double-sided log burner to cocoon you with comfort in cold weather.
  • Tucked away neatly in a corner of the main living area is a fitted kitchen. It's very well equipped for self-catering with a full-sized oven, microwave, four-slice toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and all of the other bits and pieces to cook and serve meals.
  • The other side of the log burner is in the bedroom to allow you to snuggle in the king size bed and drift off to gentle firelight. The pocket-sprung mattress has an extra mattress topper, feather bedding, and bespoke soft furnishings.
  • Underfloor heating and a spacious shower extend the sense of luxury to the ensuite bathroom.

Outside: The patio garden is down the external steps and has seating and a hot tub. There is allocated parking.

Additional Information: This apartment is for one or two adults only. Other cottages on site welcome children over 14 years only, so it's quiet and relaxed. Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are provided. One dog is welcome. Smoking is not allowed.
