Rose Cottage is a very pretty 18th Century holiday cottage that is located in a beautiful Cotswold village with a great pub within walking distance. It is full of features that provide a charming atmosphere including wood burner and delightful cottage garden, and can accommodate four guests.
This is an ideal location for exploring the pretty Cotswold villages and towns along with Oxford, Shakespeare’s Stratford, and the myriad of activities and attractions within the area available all year round. The cottage sits on a country lane that turns into a path which goes down to the pretty stream that meanders its way through the village.
Upon arrival at Rose Cottage you will be greeted by a welcome pack of tea, coffee, homemade cakes or scones and milk and you will be provided with the little extras you need on holiday like olive oil, cling film, foil etc.
Throughout the cottage the large windows have charming views over the back garden or across the rooftops and gardens to the valley beyond. There is luxury linen on the king size and super king size beds, making it perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Equally the beds can be unzipped to make two twins bedded rooms upon request, and with a sofa bed downstairs, groups of up to six guests can be accommodated.
The delightful village has it’s own very well known Victorian brewery and visitors centre, and is surrounded by Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is a Pottery in the Village and a thriving large village shop and post office. From the village there are plenty of walks (The Cotswold Way runs nearby) and cycle rides in and around the Village, with many more pub-related ones published in the Brewery monthly magazine.
The main village pub is just a stones throw from the cottage and has a great chef and a regularly changing menu. With three other pubs in the Village where you can sample the famous Hooky Ales, you will be spoilt for choice with places to eat and drink (all have roaring fires in the winter!).

Rose Cottage is a very nicely refurbished cottage with a great location in Hook Norton. The space has been skillfully used to give a roomy feel - the lounge-kitchen area works especially well. The fixtures and fittings have been done in a stylish way. The owners (Becky and Hugh) were very helpful and even introduced me to the local biking group which led to a great Sunday morning ride. Simon Pritchard, London, 3 weeks in May/June 2010.
The cottage is in a great location and is a good base to visit the Cotswolds region. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable. Louise Harvey, Grassendale, June/July 2010.

Fabulous New Year’s Eve in the village, everyone so friendly! Many beautiful walks, the dogs and us are pooped! None of us want to go home. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Victoria and Ian Law, W. Yorks. Dec/Jan 2010/11
A lovely cosy cottage, well-equipped and well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. Log burner was a welcome bonus. Pear Tree Inn in the village was very friendly with good food and good value for money. Mr and Mrs Parker, Bridgend, March 2011.
Rose Cottage is a very warm and homely place to stay with everything we needed to make it a home away from home. The cake was very welcome on arrival and we had some great sleeps in the comfortable bed. Location perfect for day trips , proximity to shop and pub, and the village picture book pretty. Many thanks for a memorable stay. Anne and Andreas Werth, Tasmania, Australia, June 2011.
This has been our summer holiday and we’ve had a fantastic time. The area is gorgeous and we’ve enjoyed visiting some of the houses and Cotswold villages. This house is so well-equipped. All the little touches like the cake the food cooking bits and pieces were really appreciated. Liked that fact that you have wireless, DVDs, satellite, all the brochures and the recommended places to go in your guide. Very homely and a great help for a holiday. Thank you! David Banbury, Somerset, Aug 2011.
