Palm Tree is a quiet beachfront holiday apartment only 50 metres from the boardwalk and the beach at Shoreham-by-Sea. It sleeps two people in one bedroom (there is also a sofa bed for the use of a carer/support worker if required), with all accommodation entirely on the ground floor and a layout that is accessible for guests who use a wheelchair. Couples and individuals appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, lovely garden and fantastic location on a spit between the English Channel and the River Adur. Shops, cafes and pubs are all within a 15-minute walk/wheel, though you may find yourself stopping en route to enjoy the lovely views.
Shoreham-by-Sea is an idyllic seaside town with a lovely parish church and an award-winning farmers' market. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of a town with the laid-back lifestyle of being so close to the water. Sailing and fishing are always popular activities, and sitting at a harbour-side cafe can be a daily pleasure. The shingle beach is a favourite for kite surfing and windsurfing. Unlike its famous neighbour, Brighton, the beach rarely gets visitors from out of town and is never crowded. In addition to having miles of beautiful beaches within easy reach, the southern border of the South Downs National Park is only a few miles upriver from Shoreham-by-Sea, opening up the spectacular countryside for your enjoyment.
There is plenty to keep you happily entertained during your stay at Palm Tree. Spend a relaxed few days exploring the beautiful West Sussex coastline and places like Worthing and Brighton. Head to the top of Ditchling Beacon for panoramic views over the southern downs towards the English Channel, admire the beauty of Parham House and Gardens, take your binoculars to Pulborough Brooks RSPB, and visit the cellar door of the Bolney Wine Estate. The lifeboat station at Shoreham Harbour is open to the public to showcase the importance of these lifesaving volunteers' work.
Whatever your reasons for staying at Palm Tree, whether you're on holiday, attending a wedding in the area, or want a comfortable and accessible home-away-from-home while in the area for work, you'll find it comfortable and welcoming all year round.
