About Seaford Croft

Seaford Croft is a waterfront holiday cottage at Waterloo near Broadford village on the Isle of Skye, with sensational views over Broadford Bay towards Scalpay, Pabay, and the scenic Applecross Peninsula. It's a beautiful place to stay it is all about location, being only seven miles from the Skye Bridge with easy access to the mainland as well as the island's favourite sights and attractions. The cottage dates from the 1880s and sleeps up to four adults and two children in three bedrooms, one on the ground floor. Couples, families and friends are all very comfortable here regardless of the season, enjoying stylish touches like solid oak flooring and a multifuel stove. The Hebridean Inn pub, Claymore Seafood restaurant, coffee shops, bistro restaurants, and a supermarket are all within a 10-15 minute walk.

Whether it's your first time on the Isle of Skye or you're a regular visitor to its shores, you'll find Waterloo the perfect place for your holiday. It's barely half a mile from Broadford, so you're close to amenities, yet it's blissfully tranquil with incredible natural beauty that will soothe your soul in a way you could never have imagined. Ben na Calliach and the Broadford Red Hills dominate the landscape behind Broadford. The walk to the peak is just over five miles, but you'll climb nearly 1,000 metres and be glad of the opportunity to catch your breath as you admire the 360-degree vista. Hillwalkers will also enjoy the challenge of Bla Bheinn and Sgur Alasdair, but there are miles of more accessible routes and walks for all abilities with equally impressive views. There's no reason to limit yourself - other ways to explore are cycle and mountain biking, the numerous boat trips and for the watersport enthusiasts kayaking and paddle boards can be enjoyed at hightide with access to the water from the garden at Seaford Croft. The shoreline location a haven for rock poolers and fossil hunting.

Skye is much-loved by bird watchers and nature lovers, who come in all seasons to view the local wading and resting migrating birds from the cottage where wildlife flourishes in this pristine setting. Attractions on the Isle of Skye range from the picturesque Fairy Pools near Glenbrittle, a favourite spot for wild swimming, to the Talisker Distillery. Visit the seats of Clan MacDonald and Clan MacLeod, tour galleries and go shopping, and enjoy traditional events like the Isle of Skye Highland Games, Skye Live Music Festival and the many musical events throughout the summer season.
