About The Coach House (ground floor)

Prices shown on this website are based on 2 people sharing

The Coach House is a stylish ground floor self-catering apartment sleeping two guests (or four with the use of a sofa bed), ideally situated in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Castleton in the Peak District National Park.

Nestling amidst the High Peaks in an area famed for its caves, this delightful holiday retreat is one of two self-catering apartments, as well as Peveril House, a stylish Bed and Breakfast perfect for couples, families and friends (one dog is welcome in The Coach House and The Hay Loft - please enquire if you would like to bring more).

Popular with outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding landscape is a vast outdoor playground which attracts walkers, climbers, cyclists and cavers from far and wide. Sandwiched between the White and Dark Peaks in Hope Valley, the scenery is simply stunning with a diverse mix of limestone heath, gritstone moors, and wooded valleys with rivers carving their way through.

Overshadowed by Peveril Castle (built by one of William the Conquerer's knights as far back at 1086), Castleton is noted in the Domesday Book and has a long and interesting history. The village offers a good range of amenities including shops, tea rooms, and pubs within a short stroll of Peveril House and Apartments as well as an abundance of attractions within easy reach. There is also a good bus service from the village (plus three train stations locally) as well as a tourist information centre with lots of information to help you plan your holiday.

World famous Blue John Cavern is literally just up the road from Castleton and possibly the country's finest show cave. Ladybower Reservoir is also close by. Slightly further but still within easy reach are Chatsworth House with its stunning gardens and grounds, and medieval Haddon Hall (used as a film set in a number of films and productions) to name just a few of the areas many attractions.

With short breaks and longer holidays offered all year round, Peveril House and Apartments is an ideal choice in any season.
