Yare Cottage is as close as you can get to the water without staying on a boat. The comfortable waterfront holiday cottage in Wroxham is on the shore of the River Bure, with private fishing rights and sensational views of the river and marina. It has three spacious bedrooms and excellent self-catering facilities and is perfect for families, including those with dogs. Shops, cafes and pubs are all within walking distance of your door, as is boat hire so that you can explore the Norfolk Broads in all their glory. Guests love the location, the welcoming atmosphere, and how well-equipped it is.
Wroxham is in the heart of the Broads and is ideally located for exploring the national park and the beautiful beaches of the Norfolk Coast. It's one of the bigger settlements in the area and is well served with places to eat, drink and shop. Understandably, it is busier in summer. However, it's far from a "tourist town" and has plenty to offer outside peak holiday times for those who want to get away in autumn or winter. The village of Hoveton is immediately across the river from Wroxham (a ten minute level walk from the cottage) where the famous Roys department store, food hall with integral diner, and McDonalds is situated, along with a bank, post office, railway station to Norwich and the North Norfolk coast and several other shops and services.
The outside decking at Yare Cottage, which has a dining table with parasol, six chairs and two sun loungers, is a perfect spot to relax in the morning sun and enjoy the proximity to the water. If you feel like doing something more active, there are miles of waterways, footpaths and cycling routes to help you explore. Book a fishing tour, sightseeing boat tour, or an hour or two on a buoyancy bike, canoe or SUP. Family-friendly Wroxham attractions include beWILDerwood and Wroxham Barns.
The wider Broads area features places like Africa Alive, the 1,000-year-old St Benet's Abbey, Thurne Mill windmill, Hickling Broad Nature Reserve, and charming villages like Ranworth. You're only half an hour's drive from Norwich, the best preserved medieval city in Britain with a vibrant nightlife and arts scene. Alternatively, go east to the coast and Great Yarmouth, just 12 miles away.
Yare Cottage has waterfront views front and rear, so it's perfect if you're planning a holiday on the Broads for river views. Bookings are available all year round, with short breaks possible outside peak season and depending on availability.

Outside: You will love the ability to have breakfast, lunch and dinner on your waterfront deck. Conveniently, there are two off-street parking spaces.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs are welcome for a small surcharge. Electricity, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. There are contemporary electric wall heaters throughout the cottage to keep it nice and warm off season. Smoking indoors is not permitted.
