Clippesby Hall offers a super selection of self catering accommodation in a great location for exploring the many attractions of the Norfolk Broads - whether you are a couple or party of eight, there is a cottage or lodge for you! This unique network of lakes and waterways has so much to offer and you also have the delights of the Norfolk coastline, with its wonderful beaches nearby. With good links to Great Yarmouth and Norwich, this is a convenient holiday location with plenty of attractions to suit all ages.

On-site facilities are great - pay a visit to the information centre where you will find all the information needed to plan your holiday. There are also a multitude of activities on the doorstep including lovely walks, bike rides, fishing and opportunities for bird watching. A booking service for bike and canoe hire is available, along with a wide range of maps, routes and excellent local knowledge, ensuring you discover all the hidden treasures that the Norfolk Broads has to offer.

Nestling in an enviable position in the very heart of the Broads National Park, Clippesby Hall not only offers self-catering apartments, lodges and cottages but it also accommodates camping and touring. On-site facilities are excellent and include mini golf, tennis courts, cycle hire, coffee shop, restaurant, bar and Wi-Fi access, allowing you to keep in touch with the outside world.

If you are not content with simply relaxing at Clippesby and enjoying the facilities on-site, there are plenty of places to visit and things to do. Explore the Broads on foot, in a canoe, by bike or hire your own cruiser for the day, to discover the unique picturesque scenery which is a haven for wildlife. Visit the pretty village of Ranworth, with its medieval church and free interpretation centre and boardwalk, or cycle to How Hill for a picnic by the river and afterwards you can explore the wildlife water trail aboard the Electric Eel. Hickling Broad is a lovely place to visit with its Nature Reserve and quieter backwaters to explore (boat trips available).

Children will enjoy a day at BeWILDerwood, a magical place that is sure to captivate their imaginations and adults can enjoy a visit to one of the country houses and gardens of the county.

Clippesby is ideally placed for visiting the ancient City of Norwich, one of the countries top shopping destinations. With its river cruises, spectacular cathedral, historic castle and medieval lanes to wander, it is certainly worth a day trip. Great Yarmouth is within easy reach and one of the finest, traditional seaside resorts with its award-winning Time and Tide museum, historic South Quay, heritage walks and traditional seafront with Sea Life Centre, Pleasure Beach, piers and circus. For train enthusiasts, there are a number of heritage railways which allow you to sit back and soak up the beautiful Norfolk scenery including the Bure Valley Railway (located at popular Wroxham) and the North Norfolk ‘Poppy Line’ at Sheringham.

Location (The Norfolk Broads)

These stylish detached lodges provide self-catering for up to six guests and sit in a lovely position along a wooded track. They offer the best of both worlds being part of Clippesby Hall with access to all of the facilities, yet at the same time offering a sense of privacy where guests can relax amongst the peaceful Broadland scenery.

Each lodge offers light and airy accommodation and sits in its own woodland glade affording lovely views over the surrounding open countryside which is a haven for wildlife with rabbits, deer and a variety of birds.

Accommodation and facilities for each lodge:

  • Open plan living area providing a comfy seating area with flat screen television (Freeview and DVD player available) and dining area with table and six chairs. This leads out to a decked balcony where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or meal outside whilst soaking up the peace and tranquility of this lovely Broadland setting.
  • Well equipped kitchen with electric oven/hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine/tumble dryer.
  • Downstairs family bathroom with shower over bath, wash basin and WC.
  • Ground floor double bedroom.
  • Ground floor twin bedroom.
  • Open-plan mezzanine level twin bedroom with two single beds (accessed via loft-style steps) which looks over the living area.

Additional information: Central heating is included in the price as is electricity and bed linen (except towels and cot bedding). Free tennis available to guests. Towels, cot and high chair are available to hire on request. Changeover day is Saturday during school holidays but can be flexible at other times. With level access with ramp, and the entire ground floor on a single level, each lodge is suitable for those with restricted mobility. One lodge also has a wet room including shower, hand basin and toilet. The lodges are double glazed with central heating (included in the price), ensuring a warm welcome all year round.
