About Seaford Holiday Cottage

Seaford Holiday Cottage is a fantastic self-catering cottage in Norfolk offering 5-Star Gold accommodation for six people in three very comfortable bedrooms. Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within walking distance of Weybourne Beach and the Ship Inn pub, it is perfect for families who want to experience the natural beauty of the North Norfolk coast.

Weybourne is a small, friendly village surrounded by fields, woodland and heaths. It is refreshingly un-touristy, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the peaceful pace of Norfolk country life. The village store stocks all the essentials for a relaxed, self-catering holiday, while the train station is well-known for being a stop on the North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line, and has a charming bookshop specialising in books about railways and local history. Visitors with interest in military history will appreciate the Muckleburgh Collection on the former MOD site in Weybourne, which houses the UK's largest private collection of military vehicles and equipment.

The North Norfolk Coast is a favourite holiday destination with families who return year after year for the picturesque beaches and clean water. There are 43 miles of coastline with the nearest beach being only a short walk away. Weybourne is a peaceful shingle beach, but if you want to build sandcastles then Sheringham, three miles away, is perfect, as is nearby Cromer. If you are feeling energetic, then you can walk along the Heritage Coast footpath, while cycling is another enjoyable way to get around, and there is also a handy Coastal Hopper bus.

Cromer is justifiably famous not only for its lovely beach, but also for the quality of its fresh crab, and tucking into a steaming pile of freshly caught shellfish as you sit on the beach is an experience to savour. Also worth including on your itinerary for a day out are Sheringham Park with its beautiful rhododendrons, while the nature reserve at Cley is a haven for dozens of species of birds and wildlife. A holiday at Seaford can also include a shopping trip to the pretty Georgian town of Holt, a round of golf, visits to Holkham Hall or Pensthrope, and even a day exploring the ancient city of Norwich which, in medieval times, was second only to London in size and importance.

There is so much to see and do on the North Norfolk Coast that one visit will never be enough.

Downstairs:

  • A brick fireplace with a log burning stove is the focal point of the living room, which also features leather sofas and a Smart TV. The neutral decor gives this room a timeless appeal which is as perfect for kids to flop down and watch their favourite show as it is for adults to relax and chat after dinner, or everyone to settle back for a family film night.
  • Adjacent to the living room, a games room has another sofa and TV as well as a games table, games console, and a range of books and toys. It's a haven for younger guests (or those who are young at heart).
  • Pass through the hall, of which is a convenient cloakroom with WC and handbasin, and you reach the large kitchen/diner. As with the rest of the house, it is furnished to a high standard with good quality appliances including a dishwasher, American-style fridge/freezer and a wine cooler. There is everything guests need for self-catering from cheese on toast to a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The oak dining table seats six people.
  • A separate utility room houses a washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Upstairs:

  • Master bedroom which is the sort of place where you will be happy to return to each night. There are bedside tables and reading lights next to the king-sized beds, with further storage in the built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers, and a television. An ensuite has a shower, WC and handbasin.
  • Second double room with a king-sized bed, bedside tables and reading lights, and a wardrobe for storage.
  • Third bedroom which is a lovely twin room with two single beds, a built-in wardrobe and a fresh, blue and white decor that makes it perfect for guests of any age.
  • Family bathroom with a spa bath with shower overhead, WC and handbasin.

Outside: A paved patio area has a shaded seating area and a barbecue, and there are mature gardens to help you make the most of long summer days, as well as a summerhouse for shelter. There is parking for two cars on the driveway. EV charging point.

Additional Information: Seaford Holiday Cottage has WiFi and central heating, and all utilities, linen and towels (not beach towels) are included. A highchair, cot and stair gate are all available on request. Friday & Saturday start dates. 3-night weekend breaks Autumn/Winter.
