Mauleys Cottage will wriggle its way into your heart, and you will never want it to leave. It's a beautiful holiday home full of natural shades and tactile materials that will embrace you in a welcoming hug. The detached cottage sleeps up to six people in three rooms and is on a family-run farm in East Harling, close to the River Thet and within walking distance of friendly pubs like the Nag's Head and the Swan Inn. It has a huge garden and lots of living space to make it an ideal choice for families.
East Harling is a quiet village in a beautiful setting. Thetford Forest, a favourite place for mountain biking as well as walking, is close by, as is Knettishall Heath and Harling Woods. In addition to two excellent pubs, the village has a village shop, cafe, butcher, fish and chip shop and a pharmacy, as well as tennis courts and two playgrounds. It is all walkable in about 10-minutes from the cottage, depending on the length of your legs.
The High Lodge Visitor Centre in Thetford Forest is home to the original Go Ape high ropes courses, and there is an activity centre nearby with paintball and archery. Local family-friendly attractions include Banham Zoo, just 10 minutes from Mauleys Cottage, and Roar! Dinosaur Adventure. Beautiful Norwich, with its magnificent cathedral, fantastic shops and restaurants, museums and culture is less than half an hour away, and Bury St Edmunds is also within easy reach for a day's shopping and sightseeing. Further afield are places like Blickling Hall, Sutton Hoo, Felbrigg Hall, and BeWILDerwood, and if you want a day at the beach, then you only need to drive north for an hour to hit Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham (the walk along the beach between the two is fantastic if you want to blow the cobwebs away!).
Mauleys Cottage appeals to everyone. It is close to outdoor activities that will leave you muddy and laughing, as well as being within reach of elegant stately homes and wonderful independent shops and restaurants. Whatever the season or the weather, you'll find it easy to keep everyone happily amused for the duration of your stay.

Outside: Mauleys Cottage has a big expanse of level lawn which is perfect for playing. There is also a paved area with a table and chairs so that guests can sit and enjoy eating outdoors in good weather. The cottage has off-street parking for up to three cars.
Additional Information: All utilities, WiFi, sheets and towels are provided. Short breaks may be possible outside of peak season, depending on availability. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
