About Lavender Lodge

Lavender Lodge covers almost everything you could wish for in a Norfolk holiday cottage. Searching for somewhere that's wonderfully peaceful yet not isolated or remote? The property is on a quiet lane in South Raynham, convenient for a main road and Fakenham. Are you struggling to decide whether you want a walking, sailing, golfing or beach holiday? You can enjoy all of these easily. Do you need space for your large family or group of friends to spread out? Lavender Lodge sleeps six people in three double bedrooms, all ensuite and one having wheelchair access. If all of that wasn't enough to convince you of how great this holiday home is, the indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub will leave you in no doubt!

South Raynham is close to the River Wensum, five miles from the market town of Fakenham. The village has a petrol station with a shop stocked with essentials like milk and bread, and a church that dates back to the 1400s. Two miles away, the current Lord and Lady Townshend host open days throughout the year, allowing visitors the opportunity to admire the beauty of Raynham Hall which is also open for musical recitals. The pretty Georgian town of Holt is another excellent place to eat, drink and shop.

It doesn't matter what time of the year you book your holiday in Norfolk because there is always plenty to see and do. There is a huge choice of footpaths and cycling routes with popular options like the Peddars Way and National Cycle Network Route 13. Go fishing, sailing or canoeing in rivers or the Broads. Wells-Next-The-Sea is 20 minutes by car, with the rest of the North Norfolk coast and beaches like Hunstanton, Cromer and Sheringham not much further. Local attractions include Norfolk Lavender, Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, and Langham Glass. Give her majesty a wave on a visit to Sandringham and stroll gracefully around the elegant Holkham Hall. Norwich is the best-preserved medieval city in the UK and is under an hour's drive from Lavender Lodge for a day of shopping and sightseeing.

Lavender Lodge is a wonderful holiday home, beautifully furnished throughout with accommodation entirely on one level.

  • Open plan living area with a flame-effect electric fire. There is ample relaxed seating near the TV and DVD player and large windows that flood the room with natural light during the day.
  • Dining area with a solid wood table and six high-back, leather upholstered dining chairs.
  • Contemporary kitchen fitted with appliances that include a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric double oven, microwave, and a washing machine.
  • Master bedroom furnished with a super-kingsized (6ft-wide) bed, proper storage, a wall-mounted TV, and a flame-effect electric fire to keep you extra cosy in winter. The room is accessible for guests who use a wheelchair and includes an ensuite wet room with a shower, grab rails and a shower chair.
  • Second bedroom with two single beds, storage, a flame effect fire and a wall-mounted TV. The ensuite has a corner bath for blissful soaks, a WC and a handbasin.
  • Double bedroom furnished with a king-sized bed, storage and a wall-mounted TV. There's a shower, WC and a handbasin in the ensuite bathroom.
  • Open the door into your very own pool house, complete with a 38ft x 16ft swimming pool. There is a ramp and a hoist for guests with limited mobility, relaxed seating, and a changing room with a shower and a WC.

Outside: Lavender Lodge has spacious gardens enclosed for your privacy, and the paved patio has garden furniture, sun loungers, and an outdoor hot tub. There is off-street parking for four cars.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, and bed linen are all included with the hire of Lavender Lodge. Guests to bring bath towels and pool towels. A travel cot (no bedding) and highchair are available. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
