Half Moon House has all the features that guests look for in a holiday home in Norfolk. The property is made from traditional flint and red brick and is on the edge of Great Walsingham, a mile from Little Walsingham and within easy reach of the coast. It is well-equipped for self-catering yet is only a short walk from pubs, cafes and restaurants if you don't want to cook. With space for eight people to sleep in four bedrooms, two on the ground floor with ensuites and two sharing a family bathroom on the first floor. It's a superb choice for big families or friends who want a relaxed holiday in North Norfolk with excellent access to countryside walks and beautiful beaches.
The sleepy hamlet of Great Walsingham is the perfect foil to North Norfolk's busy seaside resorts. It's less than a 10-minute drive from the coast, so you can quickly get to your choice of dozens of stunning sandy beaches, yet you can retreat to the peace and privacy of your holiday home away from the bustle of the areas busy with tourists in summer and school holidays. There is a fantastic farm shop within walking distance and more shops and amenities six miles away in Fakenham. Shopping is a pleasure around here with many independent boutiques, art galleries, book shops and more. . . Holt is great for art and antiques, Fakenham has a huge homeware store and a pedestrianised area with boutiques and cafes, and Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham and Burnham Market are ideal for picking up one-of-a-kind items and stylish clothing.
Local attractions include Pensthorpe Natural Park, Creake Abbey, Holkham Hall with its wonderful kids adventure playground and walled garden, Sandringham and National Trust properties; Blickling and Felbrigg. The Norfolk Lavender Farm is as heavenly as it sounds, and younger children will sleep soundly after a day on the wonderful steam train that runs from Walsingham to Wells or enjoy crabbing at Blakeney or taking a boat trip to see the seals at Blakeney Point. Walking and cycling are popular ways to explore, while the coast is fantastic for swimming, sailing or kayaking.
The owner of Half Moon House welcomes holiday bookings in all seasons, with short breaks possible outside school holidays, depending on availability. All Sunday check outs have the opportunity to have a lazy day and stay until 6pm to enjoy the property all day.
