Gable Cottage delivers a hole in one. The welcoming holiday cottage in Sheringham is close enough to Sheringham Golf Course that you can almost tee-off from the breakfast table, is a short walk from the beach and has the heritage steam trains of the Poppy Line passing the bottom of the garden. It's a house where couples can escape for a relaxing break that includes all of their favourite things, yet with space for five people to sleep in two bedrooms, it is also ideal for families. It doesn't matter when you come - if you're in the mood for a holiday on the Norfolk Coast, Gable Cottage will win you over with its comfort and location.
Sheringham is a pretty seaside town with centuries of character in its cobbled lanes and flint cottages. It's well-equipped for a self-catering holiday with supermarkets, independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as a busy Saturday market, a theatre with regular performances between Easter and October, and a scenic Blue Flag beach. Walk along the coast, stroll around Sheringham Park, or scale the modest peak of Beeston Bump. There's everything you could wish for in a traditional seaside holiday.
You're not limited to Sheringham for fun. Cromer is five miles east along the coast with a host of attractions that include a Grade II listed pier dating from 1901 with an end-of-pier theatre, amusement arcades, a vast sandy beach, and some of the most succulent fresh crab anywhere in the UK. Alternatively, go west to Wells-Next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Cley, Titchwell and The Wash. It's a wonderful area for bird watching with nature and RSPB reserves, and the views have inspired centuries of artists and writers.
The medieval city of Norwich is about 45 minutes by car or just over an hour on the train. Go boating on the Broads, walking through fragrant fields at Norfolk Lavender, and imagine you're royalty at the Queen's Sandringham Estate. Day trips can include visiting National Trust properties like Blickling and Felbrigg Halls.

Outside: Sunny enclosed garden with blossom trees, lawn, flowerbeds, and outdoor seating. The cottage also has off-street parking.
Additional Information: Utilities are included. Pillows and duvets are supplied, but guests need to bring bed linen, bath towels and beach towels. Please note that there is no WiFi, but there is good 4G coverage. Short breaks may be possible by arrangement. Pets and smoking are not permitted.
