The Locks is a beautifully presented holiday home near Newport in South Wales. Around 20 minutes from both Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons National Park, the house is ideally located to combine the cosmopolitan delights of Wales' capital with the spectacular scenery of its countryside. However, it's not where it is but what it has that makes this property a true stand out. With seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the house easily sleeps up to ten people, with guests enjoying an indoor swimming pool, games room, massive flatscreen TVs with Sky and BT Sports packages, a cinema room, and lots more features that will ensure the fun never stops.
Some ideas to help make your stay at The Locks even more memorable include timing your visit to coincide with an international rugby game in Cardiff, testing your handicap on one of three world-class championship golf courses at The Celtic Manor, and beginning a day with a sunrise walk to the top of Pen y Fan, South Wales' highest peak. Newport hosts a fantastic food festival over the second week in October, a few weeks after the famous Abergavenny Food Festival which is only half an hour from The Locks. Live music abounds, and if you're into history, you have no shortage of magnificent castles to admire.
Of course, you may simply prefer to stay behind the gated entrance of The Locks for the duration of your stay. We wouldn't blame you. With so much on offer, there are endless ways for you, your family and your friends to amuse yourselves happily from the moment you arrive until you reluctantly drag yourself away, promising a return visit as soon as possible.
