Bracken Cottage is in the New Forest village of Sway, within walking distance of friendly pubs and easy reach of the gorgeous Hampshire coast. This stylish holiday home sleeps up to eight people in four bedrooms and is perfect for families or friends. Not only is there lots of living space indoors, but you'll also have a fenced garden with ample off-street parking and secure storage for bikes. Don't be surprised to see donkeys, ponies and the odd curious cow poking their head over the gate to see what you're doing!
Sway is a traditional New Forest village with two pubs (the Hare and Hounds and the Silver Hind), small grocery stores (Budgens, Co-op and a Central convenience store) an award-winning butcher, a well-stocked village shop, doctors surgery, pharmacy. It's peaceful and quiet, with direct access to footpaths and favourite cycling trails that include the nine-mile cycling route from Sway to Setthorns. You can also walk or cycle to Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst or the hill fort at Burley. Horse riding and pony trekking are two more fun ways to explore the New Forest. Bicycle hire and guided horse rides are easy to arrange locally.
If you want further variety, the Georgian market town of Lymington is only four miles away with supermarkets, a busy Saturday market, and more places to eat, drink and shop. Brockenhurst is also good for variety. You can take the train from Sway if you'd rather not drive, walk or cycle there. Other places to visit include the beaches at Milford-on-Sea and Barton on Sea, Christchurch, Mudeford and Hengistbury Head. Explore Buckler's Hard or the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hurst Castle and the Tall Trees Arboretum. The ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth takes around half an hour, so a day trip to the Isle of Wight is another option for a day out, or you can also visit Poole and Bournemouth.
Bracken Cottage is perfect for your family New Forest holiday. It's spacious and quiet, with good access to the region's most popular sights and attractions. Bookings are available all year round. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome through prior arrangement.

Outside: The cottage has extensive gardens that include a patio with furniture and a barbecue. There is ample off-street parking on the driveway, while a lockable double garage houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, and an extra fridge and freezer.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included. Short breaks are possible between October and March, depending on availability. One or two well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please arrange this with the owner when booking. Bracken Cottage is a non-smoking property.
