Three Gables offers a holiday with all the comforts adults expect, together with space for kids to have fun, making it perfect for extended family and friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The dog and child-friendly house can comfortably sleep up to ten people in five bedrooms with secure gardens and far-reaching views over the surrounding village and countryside. There are two decent pubs within a 25-minute walk and, because the Isle of Wight is just 13-miles by 23-miles, you're never far from a beautiful beach or a breathtaking view.
The Isle of Wight is a fantastic family-friendly holiday destination. Not only is it fun to reach thanks to regular ferry crossings from Lymington, Southampton and Portsmouth, but there is always so much to do. Thanks to its unique microclimate, the sun often shines to make a day at the beach an attractive prospect. It's reasonably flat, so family walks and bike rides are possible for everyone regardless of the length of their legs, and local attractions are all within easy reach. There are more than 300 way-marked walks covering over 500 miles, as well as bridleways and quiet roads for horse riding and cycling.
Three Gables is in the north-west of the island, a short drive from Yarmouth and close to both the Hamstead Heritage Coast and the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Day trips can include a walk along the Isle of Wight Coastal Footpath, wandering around Osborne House and gardens, or greeting the residents at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary or Monkey Haven. The rides at Shanklin Chine are a favourite with younger children, while the sight of the Needles is one everyone will remember. Being close to Yarmouth means that a day spent exploring the beautiful New Forest National Park is also a possibility.
The Isle of Wight is internationally famous for its annual music festival and has a busy calendar of events throughout the year which include festivals, rallies and regattas for walking, sailing and food to name just a few. Outside: Guests have plenty of space outside to relax when the sun shines. There are lawns where children and dogs can play, along with a patio with outdoor furniture (and BBQ) for alfresco dining and a decking area. Summer house with lots of out side games or a quiet place to relax.
Secure storage is available for outdoor equipment including bikes. Plenty of off-road parking. EV charger
Additional information: Up to three well-behaved dogs accepted (house-rules apply so please speak to the owner). Two cots (please bring your own linen), high chair and stair-gate provided. Bed linen and bath towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Strictly no smoking. A chef is available for catering by arrangement as well as a visiting holistic therapist and a baby sitting service from a qualified nanny.
