About 2 The Granary

2 The Granary is a Grade II listed cottage situated on a quiet lane at the edge of Brighstone. The cottage is a 10 minute walk to Brighstone village where you can find a pub, village shop, newsagents and a card and gift shop. The beach at Grange Farm is also around a 10 minute walking distance. Converted from the 18th century mill buildings the upside down nature of this cottage makes the most of its countryside views and it's enclosed courtyard style garden makes it the perfect place to relax.

West Wight is a great location for countryside walks, quiet beaches (even in summer!) and photogenic coastal and chalk down landscapes. Walk up Tennyson Down to the iconic Needles at the far west of the Island, visit picture perfect Yarmouth with its artisan shops, explore nearby Mottistone Estate and Brighstone Forest, and don't miss the famous Military Road with its scenic coastal views and access to sandy beaches, rock pools and dinosaur foot casts.

The diamond shaped Isle of Wight is only 22.5 miles by 13.5 miles so very easy to explore all that the Island has to offer. History lovers will enjoy Osborne House, Queen Victoria's summer palace, and Carisbrooke Castle perched high above Newport. Animal lovers will be drawn to Monkey Haven, Amazon World and the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary. Kids are well catered for at The Needles Landmark Attraction, Tapnell Farm Park and Blackgang Chine. And of course the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Dinosaur Isle cater for the whole family.
