Our usual arrival day at Castle Cottage 2 is a Thursday but flexible arrival dates and short breaks may be available upon request to the office.
Castle Cottage 2 sits at the mouth of the River Aline, where Otters play and the tide changes the view hour by hour.....
Castle Cottage 2 is a single storey, semi-detached property and provides everything you need for a cosy home-away-from-home stay. Once used to house workers of Ardtornish Estate, the cottage now provides a much loved getaway for our guests, who return again and again.
It is situated where the River Aline meets the Loch, below Kinlochaline Castle and is the perfect spot to watch birdlife, look out for Otters and wait patiently for the Pine Marten.

Ardtornish is a working landscape; we have Hydro Schemes, a Gift & Farm Shop, Kitchen Garden and Wildlife Hide, plus endless space for rambles, cycles, wildlife watching and dog-walking. Homemade ready meals, prepared with Ardtornish produce, are available to pre-order from The Farm Shop and can be waiting for you in the property upon arrival.
Local activity providers offer mountain biking, paddleboarding, kayaking/canoeing, wildllife watching tours, boat tours and guided wild swimming.
The local village features an award winning Restaurant, The Whitehouse and there are plenty of other options to dine out a little further afield in Strontian, Kingairloch, Acharacle and Ardgour.
The Morvern Peninsula and neighbouring Ardnamurchan have one of the most highly density populated areas for Golden Eagle, Sea Eagle, Otter and Pine Martin in Scotland, making the area a paradise for wildlife lovers.
Fancy a trip to the Isle of Mull? The Lochaline to Fishnish Ferry runs from the local village, taking both cars and passengers. It would only take about 45 minutes to walk from Castle Cottage 2 to the Ferry Terminal.
