A beautifully furnished, family-friendly house across three floors, ideally suited to family groups of up to 10 guests. Conveniently situated in the beautiful Cotswolds with a wealth of local attractions within easy reach. Trout Lodge is consistently given excellent reviews by guests.
Located on the luxury Lower Mill Estate, a 450 acre nature reserve and award-winning community of sustainable vacation homes, borne out of a passion to put nature first. The private country estate has 7 lakes, abundant wildlife and lovely walks. A paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers, so it's worth digging out the binoculars and keeping eyes peeled for wildfowl, deer and even the resident beavers.
Guests have complimentary use of an exclusive on-site spa (just a few minute's walk away) with heated indoor and outdoor pools, a lily filtered eco-swimming pond, steam room, sauna, gym and treatment rooms. Additional, separate heated outdoor swimming pool and sauna.
Children are well catered for with an adventure play ground and play areas with trampoline, and "Miss Mouse" Adventure Trail to encourage young children to explore the extensive nature reserve. There's even an indoor soft play area - ideal for wet weather days! Families can explore to their hearts' content on foot or bikes on the private, traffic free paths amongst the lakes.
An early morning run, cycle, or a gym session may appeal to some. Tennis courts and football pitches can be pre-booked. Canoe, paddle board and bicycle hire is available on site and locally there are lake beaches, watersports, golf, angling, paintballing and archery to name just a few activites.
The bistro-style restaurant on Lower Mill Estate offers a comprehensive breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and takeaway menu. Diners can enjoy fresh local produce for a true taste of the Cotswolds. Fresh made pizzas available from on-site pizza shack. Small shop on site selling local produce.
Trout Lodge is conveniently situated for a wealth of local attractions. A 10 minute walk from the Estate brings you to the closest local village with its lovely pub serving great local food, set amongst pretty cotswold stone cottages and a village church. There are many other wonderful local pubs and restaurants in the surrounding villages so you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to dining out.
A 5 minute drive away brings you to the Cotswold Country Park and Beach with the amazing inflatable obstacle course 'Aquaventure' . Nearby Cirencester is a buzzing market town with boutique shops and the Corinium Museum showcasing impressive local Roman finds. Further afield you'll find the elegant spa town of Cheltenham, and the city of Bath with its beautiful Roman and Georgian achitecture, Westonbirt arboretum and numerous gardens and other places of interest for children and adults alike.

Mid-floor main living area has a west-facing verandah which overlooks a large pond area and the small private garden - great for those summer evenings.
You are likely to see swans, ducks, coots and moorhens on the pond, with kingfishers and herons trying their luck in the nearby stream. House martins nest around the estate in summer, wheeling overhead to catch insects
There is access to the small private garden through the lower bedrooms with access to the pond (not fully enclosed)

A highchair (no bedding) and a travel cot are available for our youngest guests, withe a wide range of games, books and wooden 'Brio-style' train set for young and old alike.

Outside, covered decking area with table and chairs, leading onto private garden area.

Wood burning stove, two sofas and additional seating, smart 42" TV, "Alexa" Echo Dot speaker, bookcase with magazines, books and games for all ages.
Sliding glass doors to covered decking with table and chairs for outside dining over looking the trout pond. Perfect for a relaxing evening drink!
Contemporary kitchen with fitted appliances, well equipped with ample cooking utensils, island workspace/breakfast bar.
Solid oak dining table comfortably seats 10 guests.
One further bunk room on 1st floor with 2 adult size bunk beds.
