Stable Cottage is situated on a small family run farm in a very attractive rural location, on the outskirts of the village of Plumpton Green, and within sight of the South Downs National Park. Stable Cottage along with two other cottages (sleeping two and four) was converted from a traditional single storey farm building housing a milking parlour and stabling for draught horses. All the accommodation is at ground level and equipped with doorways wide enough to allow wheelchairs. Stable Cottage and Parlour Cottage both have wet rooms as well as bathrooms and Stable was given an M3 classification. The conversion was skillfully done with traditional oak doors and furniture, resulting in a warm comfortable place in which to stay.
We have a small flock of sheep on the farm and a flock of free range chickens producing eggs for sale at the gate. Visitors are free to explore the farm and can venture further afield using the public footpath which crosses our fields.

We’re on the very edge of the South Downs National Park, the beautiful Ashdown Forest is only a short journey away, and we’re within easy reach of some of the most captivating historic towns and villages in this part of the country. National Trust and English Heritage houses and gardens pepper the countryside. Gatwick Airport is 20 miles away, and you can get to London by train in just one hour.
