Castle Hill Cottage is a beautiful combination of classic styling, contemporary conveniences, and spectacular views. It's a semi-rural location three miles from Crowborough and 1.5 miles from Rotherfield. Step out of the door into miles of the beautiful South Downs National Park with the knowledge that shops, supermarkets and other amenities for your self-catering holiday are only a few minutes away. Guests who stay at Castle Hill Cottage range in age and interests. The house sleeps 14 people in six bedrooms and is as welcoming for multi-generational family gatherings as it is for celebrating with friends. With facilities including a heated outdoor swimming pool, a sauna, and an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, this holiday home is the perfect spot to relax and spend time with the people you love.
It's possible to get from London Bridge station to Castle Hill in around two hours by train and taxi via Tunbridge Wells. The drive is also straightforward. It's great if you can escape for an extended stay, but even if you only have a few days, the peace and serenity of the scenery will make you feel like you've had a proper break from the norm. There are stables nearby in Ashdown if you fancy a trek on horseback, or you can use the bridleways to explore on a bicycle. An excellent treat is a bird's eye view of the countryside in a hot air balloon, with the Bluebell Railway in Uckfield offering a more sedate but equally lovely sightseeing experience. Gourmands will appreciate the scope and quality of the food and drink produced by local farmers and places like the Rathfinney Wine Estate and neighbouring Davenport Vineyards.
Castle Hill Cottage is close to Sheffield Park and Gardens, Bodiam Castle, Lewes Castle, Pashley Manor, Sissinghurst Castle, and Great Dixter House. Beachy Head and Brighton are under an hour away, and there is an entire stretch of East Sussex coastline to explore and enjoy. If you would rather stay closer to home, stretch out by the pool and enjoy the sunshine.

Castle Hill Cottage is a modern property built in a traditional style that wraps around the pool terrace in an L-shape. Five bedrooms are in the main house with the sixth bedroom in a separate studio apartment.
Studio: A few metres from the main house, the studio has a king-sized bed and an ensuite shower room. There is an internal sauna and a hot tub on the patio just outside.
Outside: The cottage sits in extensive grounds with lawn and ample parking. Guests can use the heated outdoor pool between May and September, and the hot tub all year round. There are sun loungers by the pool, an outdoor dining table, barbecue and pizza oven.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are included, as is fuel for the wood burners and the barbecue. Smoking and pets are not permitted. Please note that there is a cleaning fee of £350 per booking.
