Dairy Cottage is a fantastic Cotswold holiday home. Converted from a 17th Century dairy and built in the gorgeous honey-coloured stone the region is renowned for, it has everything you could want for a Cotswold getaway, including a walled garden for sitting out in the sunshine and cosy log burner for winter breaks. It is tucked away in the centre of Churchill, a small, friendly village with an interesting church, a small heritage centre and an excellent pub/restaurant so good food is available within walking distance, while the renowned Daylesford Organic Farm Shop and Restaurant is only five minutes drive away.
Chipping Norton is just three miles from Dairy Cottage and is a vibrant market town with a good choice of shops, cafes and pubs. It also has a visitor information centre with friendly staff and useful information to help you make the most of your time in the Cotswolds. The popular town of Stow-on-the-Wold is three miles in the other direction, and Dairy Cottage is also close to Upper Slaughter, Bourton-on-the-Water, Woodstock and Blenheim Palace. Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Bicester Village and Cheltenham are all within an hour’s drive, making Dairy Cottage the perfect base for exploring this region.
As lovely as the towns and villages of the Cotswolds are, it is impossible to ignore the beauty of the countryside. There are wonderful walks to suit all abilities, including four circular walks in and around Churchill taking in all the local points of interest, an easy 2.5-mile circular trail from Chipping Norton to Over Norton, and a 5-mile walk from Churchill to Kingham. Following the 16-mile Glyme Valley Way route along the River Glyme from Chipping Norton to Woodstock is a lovely way to spend the day, and keen walkers will want to tackle a stretch of the 102-mile Cotswold Way, while the walk up Broadway Hill is always worth it for the views.
When you return to Dairy Cottage at the end of a full day you can put your feet up in absolute comfort. The owners have taken great care to create a welcoming, relaxing environment with many personal touches, so it really feels like a special home-away-from-home.

Dairy Cottage is a semi-detached property adjoining the owner's own 17th century Grade II listed Cotswold stone house. The owners take great care to ensure everything is perfect for guests during their stay, and it is these personal touches that makes Dairy Cottage so popular with visitors.

Outside: The walled garden has pots of herbs guests are welcome to use. There is a table and chairs where you can enjoy breakfast on a sunny morning or a pre-dinner glass of wine. Off-street parking for one car. The owners have a tennis court which guests are welcome to use.
Additional Information: All utilities, linen and towels are included in the price. The property has central heating and WiFi throughout. A welcome basket of logs is provided, and guests can purchase free-range eggs laid by the owner's hens. Short breaks are available between October and March and longer rentals all year round. Sorry but no pets. No smoking.
