Step inside and feel immediately at home in the comfortable accommodation. The cottage is set in a peaceful location on an 8 acre hilltop site at the end of a no-through road and is designed for easy living ensuring a stress-free stay.
Kites' Nest Cottage is a two storey annexe to our main house (Bryndolau) so there is always someone on hand if you need advice. The ground floor is open plan with a compact kitchen with all the easy-to-use appliances you will need: Microwave/oven, electric hob, fridge/freezer and washing up facilities. In the dining area there is an extending dining table with welcoming tea tray and 4 chairs. The lounge area has two comfortable armchairs with 24" TV and large picture windows overlooking the spectacular Brecon Beacons, garden and Towy Valley. Upstairs there is a bright and characterful barn-style double bedroom with masses of storage room for clothing, luggage etc. Again, there are uninterrupted views over our sheep field to the Beacons and beyond from the main window. The shower room and toilet facilities are right next to the bedroom. All linen, towels etc. provided. The cottage is centrally heated with additional plug in space heaters for chilly days. Ample parking
Car parking is directly outside the front porch and there is a private patio and enclosed garden for your enjoyment at any time. You are welcome to access the surrunding fields and meadow, orchard, "magic hill" with 360 degree views, a wildlife pond and a shepherds' retreat hut.
There is plenty to do beyond your doorstep if you feel inclined. There are a number of walks from the cottage or you can venture to either Llandeilo or Llandovery in the car - both a few miles away - to discover local tearooms, craft shops and historic sites. A short drive will take you to Dinefwr Park (NT), Aberglasney Gardens, the Botanic Garden of Wales and many Welsh castles are within easy reach. The Gower Coast, St. David's, Cardigan Bay and Tenby are all about an hour away.
