Kingfisher Lodge - sleeping four and welcoming families and pets - beautiful, peaceful and with stunning views along the river. We supply everything you need for a special break. This is the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by but also to explore Stratford upon Avon, just one mile away, and the Cotswolds. The 15 min cruise into town on the river taxi is very popular, or you can walk into town along the tow path .
If you stay on the park there is plenty to enjoy. Let's start with walks, wildlife and free fishing from the river bank by the lodges. The Riverside Venue has a bar and restaurant and Tiddington village is just 10 mins walk away where you will find a great pub, a SPAR for anything you may need, Indian and Chinese restaurants and a tapas bar. For children there is a playground and dinosaur crazy golf.
Stratford upon Avon is birthplace of William Shakespeare and home to the world famous Royal Shakespeare Theatre. Enjoy a river cruise, fantastic restaurants and cafés, visit the parish church where Shakespeare is buried and the homes he lived in. The River Avon flows through the town and the big park by the river is the perfect place to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
Venturing further afield: several National Trust properties - Charlecote Park - Shakespeare is supposed to have poached deer from the Lucy family here; Baddesley Clinton with its priest holes and connections to the Gunpowder Plot, Hidcote Gardens - one my my favourite gardens and next door to Kiftsgate Gardens - the origin of the famous Kiftsgate rambling rose.
Lots to do for families - a Harry Potter shop in town, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cadbury World, the MAD museum, TutStand Up Paddleboarding tuition is available on the park, Go Ape not far away and much more to do.
Pet owners will find Stratford upon Avon is such a pet friendly town and there are plenty of walks on Avon Park and in the area.
