Fitzherbert Cottage is in the pretty village of Swynnerton, a stone's throw from the award-winning Fitzherbert Arms pub with scenic walks from the door. Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, it's the perfect Staffordshire holiday cottage for couples, families, or even solo travellers. Despite the peaceful rural location, the village is handy for Junctions 14 and 15 of the M6, making exploring the wider Staffordshire area and its many fantastic attractions simple. Guests regularly give this property a 5-star rating for the attention to detail reflected in things like an initial supply of milk, tea and coffee so you can put the kettle on and immediately feel at home.
Swynnerton is simply delightful. Small in stature, it's the focus of a strong community, many of whom have families who have farmed here for generations. Being only 10 miles north of Stafford means it is a matter of 25 minutes to get from your door to the historic town with a history dating back over one thousand years. Stoke, Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Trentham are also conveniently nearby, which is perfect if you want to visit The Potteries.
Staffordshire attractions are many and varied enough for all tastes. Alton Towers, a firm family favourite, is only 40 minutes by car, as is the Peak District National Park. Closer to home, you can follow the Hanchurch Hills Trail through the gorgeous Capability Brown-designed gardens of Trentham Gardens. Fitzherbert Cottage is dog-friendly, and there are lots of routes to suit your pooch. Chillington Hall and Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are alternative options for days out.
Fitzherbert Cottage is a true gem in a sought-after location. Don't miss the chance to secure your idyllic getaway!
