About Hill View

Hill View is everything you, your family and your friends want in a group self-catering property, including accommodation for up to 19 people in five bedrooms. The gorgeous house is on the Rutland Border, only six miles from historic Stamford and just an hour from North London. The the property is completely private with no near neighbours to complain about noise from the property and there is no curfew on the hot tubs, making it an ideal hen party venue. Before you know it, the office will be a distant memory, and you'll be starting your special celebration with a cold drink in the outdoor twin hot tubs, surrounded by two acres of private grounds with views of the rolling countryside. There are two pubs within easy reach, including The Olive Branch, an award winning gastro pub voted UK pub of the year 2020 which is just a five min drive from Hill View. The Six Bells is another fabulous gastro pub and just a two minute drive from the property. Both of these cater for large groups.

Rutland's central location and plentiful attractions make it perfect for a fun and relaxing holiday with some of your favourite people. It's incredibly pretty, with beautiful countryside walks and sights like Rutland Water, which is only 10 minutes from Hill View and one of the biggest man-made lakes in Europe. It's an excellent spot for a walk or a bike ride - especially if you have kids and want to avoid traffic, and is also good for fishing and sailing. Boat and bike hire are available from the visitor information centre, and there is also a fantastic aqua park and a sandy beach.

Stamford is a favourite choice for a day out. Its historic town centre has the honour of being the first Conservation Area in England, boasting 600 listed buildings from medieval to Georgian. Burghley House and Park are nearby as is Tolethorpe Hall. The latter is owned by the Stamford Shakespeare Company and holds open-air performances in the summer. Stamford also has a wide array of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

You don't have to leave the grounds of Hill View to have a wonderfully memorable stay. There is plenty of space outside to arrange activities and, with no near neighbours, the party doesn't need to stop until you want it to. The owner's website has a useful list of local attractions and businesses they recommend to help you plan the perfect weekend, including a private chef for celebratory meals at home, and a hair and makeup artist for looking your best at a wedding, party or another special occasion.
