Cottage 1 at New Yatt Farm started life as a dairy, but besides its charming country-chic decor, there's no longer anything remotely rustic about this Cotswold holiday cottage! Think underfloor heating, Hypnos mattresses with 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton linen, ultra-fast WiFi, and White Company toiletries, and you'll get a feel for the cottage's understated luxury that guests love. An open-floor downstairs with a log burner sits beneath two bedrooms - a superking and a twin - to sleep four people in comfort. New Yatt Farm has the authentically welcoming atmosphere you only find in a happy family home. There are four self-catering properties on site. These are separate but can be booked together if you're on holiday with extended family or friends. The farm is a 15-minute walk from The Masons Arms and The Woodman in North Leigh.
North Leigh, the nearest village to New Yatt Farm, is just three miles from Witney. It has a rich history dating back to Roman times, with a local footpath leading to North Leigh Roman Villa, cared for by English Heritage. The village church's bell tower was built before 1066, and items from a Saxon burial site are held in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. But it's not just history that North Leigh offers. The area's tranquil rural charm and beautiful scenery in all seasons make it a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday. For those who love to cook, Witney and Woodstock are great for shopping for food, especially at Woodstock Ingredients, the superb deli owned by the owners of New Yatt Farm, where you can find a variety of local produce for your self-catering needs.
