Sunnyside is a traditional stone detached cottage built around 1930 by a local fisherman. It has a secure, mature wrap around garden with large lawn to front and uninterrupted sea view.
The beach is a stone’s throw from the property and wonderful sunsets can be enjoyed from the garden or the sun porch.
The quirky accommodation consists of a small entrance porch, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet; dining room and sitting room; there are two bedrooms upstairs – one a double and the other a small double which has been used as a children’s room with another single bed/cot inserted.
Towels and bedding are all provided.
The Village shop and post office are 400 metres along road situated beside the Lighthouse Restaurant which serves light lunches and evening meals.
The variety of items stocked by the shop is amazing and they will happily order in fresh fish and other produce for you. The Lighthouse Restaurant is very popular especially at the weekends and offers a huge selection of home cooked meals an snacks. They do takeaway fish and chips regularly should you be fed up with cooking! Also, at the centre of the village is the Jetty leading to a sandy beach which is popular for wild swimming, dog walking, canoeing, paddle boarding etc.

There is plenty to do and see on the Island whether you are a seasoned regular visitor or a 'first-timer' and Sunnyside could provide a wonderful base from which to explore the less busy west and sunny side of the island. Or just relax in the garden and enjoy some 'me' time.
The Distillery at Lochranza is 7 miles away and the Lagg Distillery is 18 miles to the south. Brodick Castle is another excellent place to visit with wonderful gardens and a very popular childrens playzone. (15 miles)
Walks leading to the standing stones at Machrie (7 Miles) and Kings Caves (8 Miles) are within driving distance with regular buses also available.
The western hills of Arran are accessible via a hill track from the middle of the village. For the less adventurous there are a number of lower and more sedate walks available.
