The Garden Flat consistently receives 5-star reviews from guests who love not only the beautiful location on the shores of Cromarty Firth but also the exceptional standard of hospitality and comfort. The cottage is wonderfully private, sitting peacefully in the Grade II Listed Ardullie Lodge gardens three miles north of Dingwall. It is convenient for guests travelling the North Coast 500 route but is also perfect for a fishing or golfing break or as a welcoming home-from-home from which to explore the Scottish Highlands. There is space for four people in two bedrooms, each of which has a king or twin single beds, depending on your requirements. It's excellent for families and couples but also suits friends on holiday together.
Dingwall is a lively market town with excellent amenities. Take time to wander around, stopping at the Dingwall Museum to learn about the local history. A few miles from Dingwall, Strathpeffer has the Highland Museum of Childhood and the seat of Clan Mackenzie at Castle Leod. There's no way you can come to the Highlands and not spend time outside in one of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain. Anglers can fish for sea trout and salmon in Cromarty Firth, while golfers can choose from ten courses within half an hour's drive. There are gorgeous walks and cycling routes, including to the Neil Gunn Memorial. Take a boat trip on Loch Ness, go dolphin spotting at Chanory Point, and explore Fort George. Inverness is only 30 to 40 minutes by car from The Garden Flat, giving even more opportunities for culture, food and entertainment.
The Garden Flat is entirely self-contained, with an enclosed garden so children and dogs can explore and play without accidentally wandering into the wider grounds of Ardullie Lodge. Guests consistently rave about the wonderful welcome from the owner, who provides a welcome basket with fresh free-range eggs and home baking. If you're after a self-catering holiday where you can completely relax and enjoy your surroundings, look no further than The Garden Flat at Ardullie Lodge.
