The Top Floor at Cantref house is a spacious self contained one king size bed accommodation. In the heart of the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) National Park. The apartment has been graded 4 star by Visit Wales Tourist Board! The Top Floor which is completely self contained benefits from its own entrance, accessed via an outdoor staircase. It is brightly decorated with a quirky feel. Great views from the lounge, bedroom and balcony. There is an information room which has a telescope to enjoy the Dark Sky Reserve, leaflets maps etc on the local area with views looking across to the Black Mountains.
The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. Enjoy relaxing or eating alfresco on the large balcony.
Walks of all levels from the doorstep are in abundance. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
The Historic town of Brecon is just under 4 miles away with its Cathedral, Theatre, Cinema, Canal Basin. Hay on Wye - the town of books with its individual independent shops and famous for its annual Literary Festival is just under 10 miles, with the popular small town of Crickhowel 9 miles and Abergavenny 19miles away.
Among festivals to enjoy in Brecon is Brecon Jazz festival in August, Brecon Baroque in October and Brecon Choir Festival in July. There are walking festivals in nearby Talgarth and Crickhowel too each year.

The accommodation is located in the quiet rural parish of Cantref. Just 4 miles from the historic town of Brecon. Cantref House is a grade II listed property that has been in the current family for 5 generations. There are walks of all levels in abundance from the doorstep as well as horse-riding a 5 minute walk at the local Riding Centre. We are positioned within a Dark Sky Reserve which can be enjoyed from the balcony. There are many scenic drives and local villages to be enjoyed too. For cyclists we are just a mile off the Taff Trail, a national cycle route.
