Bellows Mill gives guests the unique opportunity to stay in the grounds of a historic watermill in a peaceful location that is close to the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The mill has been in the ownership of the same family for eight generations.
Bedfordshire may not seem like an obvious choice for a holiday but this charming part of England has a lot to offer. In addition to the fantastic footpaths and cycling routes around the area, there are seven golf courses within only a few miles of the cottage - one for every day of the week!
Whipsnade Zoo is always an excellent choice for a day out, and being only two miles from the mill means you won't waste any time getting there. Other favourite local attractions include Bletchley Park, the Roman theatre of Verulamium, the Walter Rothschild Zoological Museum and the opulent Waddesdon Manor. The incredible Harry Potter Studio Tour is only a 30-minute drive away in Watford, where there is also a regular train service taking 20 minutes to reach London's Euston Station for an exciting day in the nation's capital city.
A holiday at Bellows Mill, Eaton Bray, gives you the flexibility to mix both town and country, spending a day cycling or walking along quiet country lanes one day, and shopping up a storm in London, Milton Keynes, or St Albans the next. There are museums and country houses for those who appreciate history, tantalising restaurants and nightlife for those who crave excitement, and peaceful walks through nature reserves for visitors who yearn a peaceful environment where they can rest and recharge.
The owners of Bellows Mill have several other self-catering properties on their private 17-acre estate. Each is completely private and self-contained. Bellows Mill can be booked on its own or together with one or more of the other properties to accommodate extended families or groups of friends. Please see the owner's website for more information.
