Fearnach Bay House sleeps seven guests (plus an additional one) and is ideally located in an enviable position close to Loch Melfort off the West Coast of Scotland near to Oban. Nestling in a peaceful spot, this luxurious holiday home sits in a secluded corner of the owner's private estate and working hill farm which extends to some one thousand acres. Built, furnished and presented to an exceedingly high standard, Fearnach Bay House offers a warm Scottish welcome and everything needed for a relaxing peaceful holiday in a luxurious picturesque setting.
Just a stone's throw (short stroll) from the private shores of the loch, this luxurious holiday home affords a wonderful waterside setting where you can sit and look at the yachts bobbing up and down on Loch Melfort. With Melfort Hill providing a spectacular backdrop, Fearnach Bay House has a lovely southerly aspect and setting which offers stunning views over the Isles of Scarba, Jura, Islay and Luing. For those who enjoy a meal out, 'Shower of Herring' Restaurant with its superb menu is within walking distance.
The estate is teeming with wildlife and offers excellent opportunities for walkers with tracks and trails to explore both over the hills and along the waters edge. Fishing is another popular pursuit and guests have the use of a small rowing boat which can be launched opposite the house from the slipway. Guests also have the opportunity to enjoy complementary trout fishing on two of the lochs on the estate, as well as many other lochs within the surrounding area (permits are available for purchase at the local Post Office).
Opportunities for outdoor pursuits are plentiful in this spectacular area. Golfers have the chance to enjoy a round on the championship course at Machrihanish (half an hour away by car) or one of the two courses at Oban (eighteen hole) or Seil Island (nine hole). See the scenery from horseback and enjoy the excitement of a long gallop along a beach - every horse riders dream.
Alternatively, take an exciting excursion by boat through the Corryvreckan whirlpool (the third largest whirlpool in the world) where you may see grey seal, red deer and golden eagles or visit one of the spectacular and interesting gardens.
Oban is within easy reach and the 'gateway' to many Scottish Islands so you also have wonderful day trips on offer to Iona, Staffa, Mull and Fingal's Cave.

Additional information: Satellite television is provided as is Wi-Fi internet access and a high tech sound system which delivers music and radio to all the main rooms in the house including the bathrooms. Life jackets, fishing rods and tackle are all supplied at no extra charge for use when fishing or using the boat. There is underfloor heating downstairs, serviced by an eco friendly ground source heat pump which heats the rooms to the right temperature and ensures a cosy warm welcome.
