Limekiln Barn comfortably accommodates parties of up to eight guests in four bedrooms (two king-size en-suites, one double, one twin plus an additional bathroom and wet room) and offers luxurious 5 Star Gold self-catering accommodation which is perfect for family holidays, reunions of friends or as a venue to celebrate a special occasion. The barn is beautifully presented to a high standard with a large open plan living area with lovely country side views, vaulted ceiling with character beams, plenty of comfy seating, inglenook fireplace with log burner, large dining table and a range cooker in the stylish kitchen area. The enclosed patio area outside provides plenty of space for outdoor living and alfresco dining when the weather is warmer.
Ideally placed, the barn sits in a peaceful spot nestling amongst tranquil countryside where sheep peacefully graze. The immediate area offers excellent opportunities for walking and cycling straight from the front door, alternatively, just pull up a sun lounger and relax on the patio or by the side of the stream which runs through the garden to the side of the barn.
Perfectly located, the barn provides an ideal base for exploring the beautiful local dales of Teesdale and Swaledale, along with the ancient little market towns of Barnard Castle, Richmond and Leyburn which offer a good range of interesting shops to browse and eating establishments - all a short distance away by car. The area offers many attractions and beautiful places to visit including the spectacular High Force waterfall, Raby Castle - one of England's finest castles with beautiful deer park and Bowes Museum with its renowned art collection. Further a field but still within easy reach for a day trip is the City of York with a multitude of attractions and fantastic shopping; the pretty coastal village of Whitby sitting in the dramatic North York Moors; the stunning Lake District or for shopping the Metro Centre.
Closer to home there is a pub/restaurant which is under five minutes by car (or a pleasant walk on a summers day) and a great choice of places to eat within a ten minute drive. There is also a large popular farm shop within a five minute car ride with café - again you can walk to this on a nice day and stock up on local produce.
