Langecliffe Locks sleeps four guests and was once a mill workers cottage, sitting in a peaceful spot at the end of a country lane inbetween a river and mill pond. One of only twelve houses built back in 1783, Langecliffe Locks formerly housed the cotton mill workers and today provides a comfortable retreat, well located for exploring the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and its many attractions.
The local area has wide appeal with activities and attractions to satisfy all energy levels within the National Park and Three Peaks including beautiful waterfalls, superb walking, caves for an underground adventure and stunning views providing an incredible backdrop.
Settle's bustling market town is just a mile from the cottage (an enjoyable walk across the fields) and offers a great range of pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as a popular Tuesday market where you can stock up on local produce.
For those who want to travel further afield, visit the Forest of Bowland (an AONB) with its rugged moorland, dramatic fells and deep valleys (just an hour away by car). The Southern Lakes are also within driving distance with Ambleside, Lake Windermere and Kendal being popular places to visit.
