Moulton View has so much on the doorstep that you'll easily fill every minute with beautiful walks, memorable meals, and unforgettable views. The dog-friendly holiday cottage is in the picturesque Yorkshire village of Moulton, an easy five-minute walk from the award-winning Black Bull pub, where your dog is also welcome. The property is an ideal home-away-from-home for couples or families, with space for six people at the dining table if you want to invite friends over for dinner.
Moulton is just over the eastern border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can drive to Richmond in around 15 minutes, though many guests prefer to cycle or walk the seven miles, enjoying the blissful scenery along the way. You'll probably arrive in Richmond with an appetite, so you will appreciate its plentiful choice of places to eat and drink. Once you've eaten, walk around the market town, window shopping and admiring the Norman castle and the market square with its unusual obelisk. Richmond also has a Georgian theatre - the oldest, unchanged working theatre in Britain, a twice-weekly market (Wednesday and Saturday) and two museums. Outside of Richmond but still within an hour of Moulton View, attractions include Catterick Racecourse, Bolton Castle, Bowes Museum, Malham Cove, Brimham Rocks, and the Himalayan Gardens and Sculpture Park. Other places to add to your holiday itinerary include Kiplin Hall, Easby Abbey, the Foxglove Covert Nature Reserve, and the incredible city of York with its magnificent Minster and fantastic attractions.
Yorkshire is renowned for the beauty of its footpaths and the scale of its cycling routes and mountain bike trails. Whether you're a serious hiker or a weekend wanderer, there's a route for you. As well as the Yorkshire Dales, you're not far from the North York Moors National Park and around an hour's drive from Staithes and the coast.
Moulton View is beautifully furnished with thoughtful touches like a welcome basket and a coffee pod machine. Start your day with breakfast on the patio, sharing panoramic views with curious sheep in the neighbouring field, or finish it with a glass of wine as you admire the sunset, knowing that you have all this to look forward to tomorrow.
