The Wilderness Continued
Nestling amongst large private gardens, "The Wilderness" dates back to 1640 and was formerly a pair of farm cottages which were believed to be part of Heywood House Estate closeby. The house still features the original oak beams with the ceilings low in many places, adding to the character and charm.
Over the years, the original cottages were carefully extended and now provide exceptionally spacious self-catering accommodation with two double bedrooms, a spacious family room with two single beds plus guest beds underneath and five twins (some converting into doubles by arrangement).
The Wilderness is popular with hen parties, particularly as a range of extra activities can be arranged such as beauty therapies (including massage), outdoor pursuits, in-house catering and a minibus service for a night out in Bath!
The holiday home provides the cosy welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for a reunion of friends who want to spend time together and catch up over a glass or two!
