Derry Barn is a charming, cosy, stylish, private holiday accommodation ideal for singles or couples. It offers the perfect blend of a stone barn with a modern interior complete with all facilities for a stay at any time of the year. It comes highly recommended by previous guests, many of whom return.
It is in a secure setting on the edge of Ashton Keynes village with the infant River Thames, village shop and pub/restaurant a few minutes walk away. The village is within the Cotswold Water Park and there are about 140 lakes in the area with opportunities for cycling, fishing, water sports and golf. Walking opportunities are also plentiful with the Cotswolds Way, The Ridgeway (the 'oldest road' in Britain) and the Thames Path providing miles exploration on foot.
The many attractions of the Cotswolds are within easy reach with pretty villages and historic towns such as Bourton on the Water, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bibury and Tetbury just a short drive away. The Roman market town of Cirencester (often referred to as the capital of the Cotswolds) is just six miles away with its famous parish church, museum, boutique shops and numerous cafes and restaurants; or visit one of the areas wildlife attractions such as Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Longleat Safari Park or Burford Wildlife Park. Cotswold Farm Park (home to Adam Henson and his ever growing rare breed collection) is also another popular place to visit with a busy calendar of events.
Slightly further but still within easy reach by car, Swindon is ten miles away with the Great Western Railway Museum and popular Designer Outlet (perfect for shoppers and a rainy day!). The Roman city of Bath, the dreaming spires of Oxford, Regency Cheltenham and Gloucester with its Cathedral, museums and Designer Outlet are all also within easy reach.
