No. 24 is a boutique town house sitting in an enviable position on the high street of the picturesque village of Lavenham. Renovated to a high standard, and providing everything you could need for a self-catering break, the extra luxurious touches provided at No. 24 will ensure you feel like you are really on holiday. Hunker down by the log burning fire with a glass of wine, snuggle under the cosy throws with a good book or enjoy a quiet cup of tea in the secluded courtyard garden. If you want to indulge in a bit of pampering there is even a spa a short walk away. Sleeping four guests in two bedrooms, No. 24 is the perfect holiday house for families and friends, or even romantic couples, looking for a touch of luxury in this beautiful corner of Suffolk.
Once the centre of the village's famous wool trade, Lavenham high street is now lined with independent shops, mouthwatering eateries and medieval timber framed buildings. Enjoy browsing the galleries or take a guided tour to learn more about the village's interesting past. There is also a fantastic butchers, local bakers and two Co-ops where you can buy all your supplies whilst on holiday. Or why not treat yourselves to a meal out. From traditional pubs, Indian and tapas restaurants and even an ice cream parlour, there is something to suit everyone's taste! It is easy to spend a day or two exploring this quirky village but when you want to venture a little further afield there are plenty of beautiful walks set in miles and miles of open countryside. There are a number of circular walks which pass through neighbouring villages or if you really want to stretch your legs you can stroll though open fields and ancient woods to the National Trust's Melford Hall.
Alternatively, enjoy a day out in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds. Once you have finished browsing the shops, Cathedral and Abbey ruins treat yourself to lunch before visiting the Italian style palace at Ickworth. If you want to ditch your car for a few days, a regular bus service runs through Lavenham connecting it to surrounding towns and villages such as Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury and Long Melford.
