There is a nature conservation area and preservation area for birds of prey where you are likely to spot kestrels, red kites and buzzards, as well as kingfishers and woodpeckers. Or enjoy a quiet afternoon in the summerhouse on the beach of one the lakes, meander through the bluebell woods in the spring or go blackberry picking in the autumn. You can meet the pygmy goats and rare breed North Ronaldsay sheep who live in their very own castle, and enjoy fresh eggs from the ducks and hens.
