Husabost Croft is the perfect place for a relaxing escape from reality. Leave your cares behind as you cross from the mainland to the Isle of Skye, driving past Dunvegan before reaching this pretty white croft house with its sizeable extension, that sleeps four people in two double bedrooms with children and dogs welcome. The house has a large Smart TV with Netflix and Sky, but you'll find it hard to tear yourself away from the spectacular views of Loch Dunvegan to the Cullin Mountains, with Dunvegan Castle and Coral Beach also visible. Couples, friends and families all love it here, surrounded by nothing but beauty.
The Isle of Skye is more beautiful than you can imagine. Even professional photos find it hard to do justice to this incredible landscape. The sandy beaches are soft and golden. The mountains are impressively craggy and present a challenge for hikers and climbers to relish. The sense of peace and tranquillity is something you can only get from a location as remote as this. Activities to enjoy during your stay include boat trips to see the seals, dolphins, and sea eagles in their natural habitat. Walk or mountain bike the trails on the Cullin Mountains, or brave the cold with a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Fairy Pools near Glenbrittle. The croft is around five miles south of the iconic Neist Point Lighthouse, or head south to Dunvegan Castle and Coral Beach.
Glendale is just over two miles from Husabost Croft. Depending on how you prefer to get around, it's a short drive, an energetic cycle or around an hour's walk. The village shop is well stocked and is open all year round. There are also shops in Dunvegan only a 15 minute drive from the house. Treat yourself to a meal out at one of the island's excellent restaurants or cook yourself a lovely meal in the large well equipped kitchen with stunning views using locally sourced produce. There are more shops and amenities in Portree. As the biggest community on Skye, it has a supermarket, butcher, bakeries, a pharmacy, and places to eat and drink. Finally, no self-respecting whisky drinker would leave Skye without visiting the Talisker Distillery.
Contrasting with its rugged surroundings, the interior of Husabost Croft is light and modern and furnished with everything you need for a comfortable holiday.

Husabost Croft is a welcoming holiday cottage in an elevated location with panoramic views from every window. The original house dates back to the 1800s, though it was extended in the 20th Century to add more living space.

Outside: There is a private track leading to the cottage where there is an enclosed garden with off-street parking for three cars. Sheep are often in nearby fields so, although the garden is enclosed, dogs should be kept on leads.
Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen, bath towels, and an initial supply of firewood is included. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement, with an additional charge of £30 each per week. Please note that Husabost Croft is a remote property and you will need a car to get here and to travel around the local area. Smoking is not permitted.
