Branxholm Knowe House is a spacious impressive detached self catering holiday home that is located three miles from Hawick in the Scottish Borders. Set in two acres of well tendered private gardens with hot tub seating six and Finnish style BBQ house, Branxholm Knowe House sleeps ten guests comfortably in five bedrooms and is furnished to a high standard. Ideal for entertaining, celebrating a special occasion or two families, the house features a fabulous garden room which is perfect for summer evenings as well as the more chilly winter evenings with the log burner creating a wonderful cosy environment.
Hawick is famed for its fine cashmere and knitwear (the very home of 'Pringle') and is an attractive town that has won awards for its glorious floral displays. As a town it has plenty of appeal with attractions that include Wilton Park with over one hundred acres of glorious grounds with gardens, play areas and riverside walks; the Borders Textile Townhouse where you can learn about the history of textiles including tweeds; and the Hawick Museum and Scott Gallery for learning about local living.
The Scottish Borders is a great location for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits with something to cater for all energy levels. The River Tweed and its tributaries offer world class salmon fishing; mountain biking is superb with Craik Forest as well as Yair and Glentrees providing tracks and trails for all abilities; hill walking is spectacular; and you have the choice of no less than twenty one golf courses. St Marys Loch (the largest natural loch in the Borders) offers sailing and you can also go shooting and horse riding in the area.
For those who like nothing more than a leisurely browse around picturesque market towns that put the fun back into shopping, Melrose (small but packed full of history), Kelso (a friendly town with a warm Scottish welcome) and Selkirk are within a thirty minute drive. Edinburgh's vibrant city is also within easy reach and one hour away.

Branxholm Knowe House is a detached country house located in a semi rural position in the heart of the Scottish Borders.

Outside: There is a large well tendered garden with access to surrounding woods which is ideal for children exploring. A six seater hot tub and gazebo provides the ultimate in relaxation and there is a Finnish style BBQ house, numerous seating areas and a pond (fenced) with cascading water.
Additional information: Towels and linen are provided. Some firewood is supplied. Central heating included in the price. Wireless broadband available for guests use. There is a cot which is full size and can be used as a small bed for a three year old. All bedrooms have good quality wardrobes and chests of drawers. The prices quoted are based on occupancy of ten and reduced rates can sometimes be offered for smaller parties (not in high season). Similarly in quiet periods the owners often offer special rates so please enquire. Well behaved pets welcome.
