Location

Reviews

We had a wonderful week at Stable Cottage. It is well appointed and comfortable, with a roomy lounge giving a tantalising view of the tip of Dunstanburgh Castle. Craster is only a mile away and the round trip to the castle is a must, while the coastal walk in both directions is possibly the best walk in Britain!

All-in-all, for situation and comfort this spotlessly clean cottage with its sun-trap of a garden is to be recommended (& the agents even managed to provide seven days of sunshine!)

The Mortimer Party, March 2022

A very good morning to you and your team. Apologies for our delay in replying as we have only just returned from our extended break.

We had a lovely time at Stable Cottage. It had all the facilities to enable us to enjoy our holiday and in such a beautiful setting. The welcome pack
provided must be one of the best we have ever received with all the essentials to get our holiday rolling, very thoughtful indeed. The cottage was
fully equipped to make it a home from home. To wake in the morning, look out of the window and see the lambs in the adjacent field was a bonus
and Dunstanburgh Castle on the horizon lent an air of intrigue to the day. The short walk into Craster was quite exhilarating and a pleasure to take.
Overall our stay at Stable Cottage is rated very highly and we commend you all for your kind efforts in ensuring that we had an enjoyable time
during our week there.

The Kirk party, June 2022

Hi,

We had a fabulous time at the weekend. The cottage was wonderful and spotless and had everything in it that we needed. We were speaking to the people in the big house who had a birthday party and we didn't hear a sound which was amazing, the loudest things were the birds and the sheep which was so lovely.
The surrounding area has so many places to visit that we are planning to come back next year.
Thank you so much for making our weekend so memorable.

Hi Jude & Jane.

Just to say we had an excellent break staying at Stable Cottage.

Everything about the cottage was faultless, the welcoming pack of groceries much appreciated and very thoughtful.

Also the property information email including how all the appliances etc work were both detailed and invaluable together with advice on local attractions and recommended places to eat.

The location of the cottage is quiet, yet close enough to drive to a lot of the local attractions, however saying that there are many walks from the cottage.

We walked to Craster every day, excellent pub there, The Jolly Fisherman as well as The Cottage Inn in Dunstan.
The local train station at Alnmouth was a short drive away, trains run there to Edinburgh & York.
For £40.00 return we had an excellent day in Scotland’s capital city.

The cottage was very well equipped with all the modern appliances, ample supplies of absolutely every household item you could imagine.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Stable Cottage.

Kindest Regards

I just wanted to reply to this to thank you for our recent stay at Stable Cottage. We had a wonderful time. It's a lovely cottage in a super location. We loved being able to walk to the coastal path and having a pub in walking distance too was perfect. All the information you gave us before our stay was incredibly helpful.

The cottage had everything we could need and the welcome pack was a lovely touch, especially after our long journey.

A huge thank you for posting back our forgotten walking poles and umbrella to us as well. We felt very silly for leaving them behind.

Thanks again for a wonderful stay
