Situated in the village of Upper Chute, Dairy Cottage is surrounded by glorious Wiltshire countryside. With spectacular views to the south, close to friendly rural pubs and near a wide range of places to visit it is an ideal location to relax and explore the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on foot or or by car.

The cottage was renovated in 2021 to the highest standard and sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms. A large living room containing kitchen, dining and sitting areas has french windows leading into a private, south facing garden. The two double bedrooms are located off the living room - one with an ensuite bathroom, the other with an adjacent shower. There is high speed wifi throughout. There is a strict No Smoking policy inside the property.

An extensive network of public footpaths means there are ten different circular walks varying from 40 minutes to 3.5 hours available from the door. 

The range of local attractions includes:

·        World Heritage sites – Stonehenge and Avebury

·        Highclere Castle – the set for Downton Abbey

·        Cathedrals – Winchester (11th century) and Salisbury (13th century)

·        Gardens – Mottisfont Abbey and Longstock Water Garden

·        Horse racing – Newbury and Salisbury  

·        Attractive country towns – Marlborough and Hungerford
