Welcome to Chapel Cottage

Chapel Cottage is a beautiful 3 bedroom & 3 bathroom cottage located in the charming village of Winton, close to Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria's stunning and unspoilt Eden Valley.  Winton is a quiet, traditional farming village, with a lovely village green (with small playground & football goals) and great pub (both just 150 yards from the doorstep!).

Chapel Cottage is situated just 1.5 miles from the popular market town of Kirkby Stephen, where there are numerous independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.  Venture down to the River Eden, which runs through the town, for picturesque family walks along the River.  There you will find Franks Bridge - a perfect place to enjoy a picnic!  The railway station in Kirkby Stephen is on the Settle to Carlisle line, famous for it's amazing scenery of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

There are lots of beautiful countryside walks and cycle routes directly from the doorstep for all ages and abilities.   There are many local villages to explore along with the towns of Appleby, Penrith, Sedbergh, Kendal and Barnard Castle all close by. Local activities include walking, hiking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding.

Chapel Cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing break to get away from it all and explore the local area.  It is also ideally located for visiting the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks and North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
