Located in a quiet residential street, Rest Ashore is just around the corner from the glorious North Beach, and scenic clifftop path to Sewerby Hall (or just hop on the Land Train if you don’t fancy walking!), with its gorgeous gardens and quirky zoo – plus you can enjoy free grounds admission for two adults and two children thanks to our complimentary pass.


By car, it’s just a short drive to nearby attractions such as the birdwatcher’s paradise Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough Head, and the lively town of Scarborough, peaceful Filey and Count Dracula's Whitby just up the coast.


You may wish to explore further afield to the breathtaking North York Moors national park and Dalby Forest, or head further inland to the historic city of York.

Meet your hosts


Oliver and Victoria Garland used to live just up the road from Rest Ashore and have been managing the holiday home since early 2020. As local people, they know just how perfectly located the property is to ensure guests can easily enjoy all the attractions on offer in Bridlington and the wider area while being based in a very safe, quiet part of the town’s residential suburbs.


And, as a family with children (and Baxter the dog!), they understand exactly what the key ingredients are for creating a magical and memorable seaside holiday to suit all generations!

  • How can I check availability and book my stay?

    Please check the availability calendar then contact us (via the enquiry form, email

     info@restashore.co.uk or call 07769 312759). We’ll email you a simple form to fill in,

    and a 20 per cent deposit will secure your holiday booking

  • What is the minimum booking period?

    In peak season the minimum booking period is seven nights (Friday changeover) and in the off-peak season short-stay breaks are available.

  • How many people does Rest Ashore sleep?

    There are three bedrooms to sleep five people – one king, one twin, and one single – a travel cot can be provided.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    Yes, up to two (well behaved!) four-legged friends are welcome to stay with you (downstairs only) at Rest Ashore.

  • How far is it to the beach and shops?

    It literally takes a couple of minutes to walk to Bridlington’s beautiful, dog-friendly,

    North Beach. There’s a pub very close by, serving food and a selection of real ales, and a

    supermarket a 10-minute walk away.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is 4pm onwards, using a secure lockbox, and we ask guests to please check-out by 10am.

  • Is there free parking at Rest Ashore?

    Yes, there is off-street parking for one vehicle as well as free on-street parking right outside the house. Electric car charging is also available for guests driving an electric vehicle.

  • What facilities does the property have?

    EV charging, free Wi Fi, log burner and logs, barbecue and outdoor furniture, separate garage, off-street parking for one vehicle, hairdryer, iron, towels, bed linen, soap, toilet paper, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes line, fridge-freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, cafetiere, cooking and dining equipment, dining table and chairs, smart TV, children’s books and toys, DVD player and selection of classic movies, board games, high chair, cot, stair gate. Your stay also includes free access to Sewerby Hall and Gardens (for 2 adults and 3 children).
